In September 2017, UCI announced that Orange County philanthropists and business leaders Susan and Henry Samueli committed $200 million to name its College of Health Sciences and establish a new integrative health research institute. The college consists of the School of Medicine, the Sue and Bill Gross School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and the School of Population Health (currently the Program in Public Health.)
